Hello, I am MaccDevv. I make games with Unity (mostly 2D).
I am currently working on my game Veins. Veins is a 2D Mining Platformer where the player delves down into a randomly generated set of 3 boxes surrounded by ores that the player must collect while avoiding waves of enemies and bosses that try to kill the player. When the player runs out of energy, they must sleep to replenish it, keep in mind the player can still use their tools but are frozen in place, so they cannot run from incoming hordes. After the player stops sleeping they have a large chance to get the "Drowsy" debuff, which means they cannot sleep for another 30 seconds. After the player has gathered resources and had their fill, they can go back up to the surface and do many things:
- Smelt their Iron & Gold for exp and points,
- Go to the shop for Health Potions and A pair of Jump Boots
- Go to the lumberjack to get some wood, (As of writing this feature is not yet implemented)
- Travel to the mountains to fight multiple waves of bosses for a challenge and to grind out exp for quick leveling. (As of writing this feature is not yet implemented)
I hope after reading this you are excited to play the full game when it comes out (Not going to happen for a while yet) to pass the days of quarantine, I wish you all well.
